My Philosophy
Whether I’m speaking as a midwife, a teacher, or a parent, my philosophy is always the same: You can do amazing things when you are supported, respected, trusted, and informed. You are the expert on your own mind and body. Nobody gets to tell you who you are. Or what to think. Or how to birth. The most fundamental of all human rights is the right to be YOU.
I am committed to providing safe, respectful, inclusive care for clients of all cultural backgrounds, identities, and family structures. I believe in the power of relationships, and I value the time I spend with you, getting to know you and your family as we build confidence and trust. Whether as your doula/monitrice, lactation counselor, or childbirth educator I am your partner on this journey, providing the support you need to make well-informed decisions that align with your personal values. I have complete trust in you, your body, and your abilities.
"Throughout the weeks and months ahead of my birth, she steadfastly came to my house and provided me with the highest quality, most compassionate care. I was determined to have a natural birth at home, and Holly helped make that a reality by providing evidence-based, timely information in a compassionate and non-overwhelming way. She coached me on nutrition, provided me with practical advice about weight gain/loss, movement, being GBS positive, etc., and made every step of the way feel manageable and seamless."
-Shannon "My husband and I had a great experience with Holly and Kasey! They are very knowledgeable and professional, but at the end of it all, I would call them friends! They took great care of both my baby and I!" -Luisa "Holly and Kasey have completely opened a new door for me in prenatal care, and birth. Something as monumental as bringing in new life to this world should only been done in the best of company and care, and this is it. Forever grateful!" -Nicole |
"I am so grateful to have found Kasey and Holly. Coming from my OB who told me catching my own baby wasn't a thing and shrugged me off like it was a silly request, I knew I needed to find another option. Kasey and Holly heard and validated everything I wanted for my first birth. They listened to my fears and helped me cope. Our visits were detailed and I felt at ease when they came to an end. I wouldn't have had the amazing homebirth that I did without their support."
-Rose "These two educated and prepared me for everything to come. Not to mention they always made sure I was comfortable. They managed to drive an hour to me during a blizzard to make sure I had a safe labor. 100% will go here for every baby and every delivery." -Isabella "Such an incredible homebirth experience with Holly & Kasey! They were supportive, gentle, warm and so caring throughout my whole pregnancy and through the labor and birth process." -Mushka |
